There’s been a update to Repeat Customer Insights First Product Report.
First off, it’s no longer only the First Product Report. It’s the first ten products.
Now the report will let you see how products bought in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc order factor into customer behavior.
Lots of stores were wanting to see what products brought customers back to make that important 2nd purchase. Now it’s easy to find what products were the best (and worst).
Secondly, this also updates the Variant version of the report too.
Third, I snuck in a related update a few weeks back.
Each product and variant now have their own details page which reports on additional metrics that aren’t shown in the main report.
With this update products are now showing all of those metrics order-by-order. If you wanted to compare how a product influences AOV or LTV in early orders versus later orders, now you can.
I’m happy I was able to get this feature released before the holidays with enough time left. Using this you should be able to figure out which products would be ideal to promote over the holiday season.
These new Product Analysis reports are available to all stores with the Product Analysis feature right now.

Use cohorts to find out who the best customers are in your Shopify store
Repeat Customer Insights will automatically group your customers into cohorts based on when they first purchased. This will let you see how the date customers bought would impact their behavior.
