Repeat Customer Insights has received updates to its data analysis and insights engine.
Now the Store Analysis and Customer Purchase Latency reports will automatically compare the various metrics to how they performed in the past. You can select any year or quarter available in your account and the app will analyze the performance compared to the previous year, the previous quarter, and the same quarter in the previous year (e.g. comparing 2021 Q1 to 2020 Q1).
This goes beyond just reporting on the metrics in the previous periods. It’ll compare the metrics and highlight where they are worse than in the past.
That metrics included in this comparison are:
- Average Order Value (AOV)
- Repeat Purchase Rate (RPR)
- Repeat Sales Percentage
- Average Orders per Month
- Purchase Latency
I’ll be adding advice and recommendations for each one over time. I wanted you to know about them now so you could consider using them in your year-end planning and forecasting.

Use cohorts to find out who the best customers are in your Shopify store
Repeat Customer Insights will automatically group your customers into cohorts based on when they first purchased. This will let you see how the date customers bought would impact their behavior.
