Take care of loyalty problems before they turn into weeds

I've been procrastinating weeding the front planting strip for the past couple of months.

I told myself it's fine because it's still very wet and cold here. Then I went for a walk a couple of days ago and saw some troublesome weeds starting to flower and set seed in the middle of freezing weather.

These sneaky little weeds live through the winter and dump 1,000s of baby weeds before spring (or gardeners) get going. Which explains why they are all over the place in the neighborhood.

Now I have work that I have to do this weekend, even if it's not a good time for me.

Many Shopify stores put off doing anything with customer loyalty until they start to lose customers to competitors (defection). By that point, changing customer behavior is more difficult and you'll be fighting multiple problems at once.

Instead of waiting until it's too late, it's better to start with a simple system once you have a couple hundred or so customers. Then you can work on improving that simple system over time while it helps keep customers around.
