Repeat Customer Insight’s Latency Analysis report is a unique report in Shopify that maps out your repeat customer’s behaviors during their lifecycle.
One downside is that it would report on your customers for the entire lifetime of your shop. That’s great if you want an overview of everything but not so great on the day-to-day operations.
That meant it used to be time-consuming for you to figure out how your store’s customers were improving from year to year.
Used to is today’s keyword.
After a bunch of development, data re-analysis, and an almost melting down of a few servers I’m happy to finally release date filters for the Latency Report.
These date filters will let you narrow down the Latency Report to various periods for a more fine-grained analysis.
Now you can check the current years report and see if it’s any better than last year. Or keep track the current quarter’s progress and see if you’re able to grow customers better than last quarter.
Additionally, on the newly-released Growth plan you can also check any past year or quarter going all the way back to when you first launched your Shopify store.
I’m looking for ideas on how to improve the report so if you have anything you’d like to see, just reply to this email and let me know.
Thank you for being a customer. My company is a small, independent business so every customer matters.
P.S. I’m testing a month-based version of the Latency Report too. With such a short time frame I don’t think it’ll be that useful because it’d require a customer to make multiple purchases in a single month. But if you’re interested, send me an email and I’ll take a look at your store data and see what the data holds. If there’s enough demand for it, I’ll consider adding various months as an option.
Use cohorts to find out who the best customers are in your Shopify store
Repeat Customer Insights will automatically group your customers into cohorts based on when they first purchased. This will let you see how the date customers bought would impact their behavior.
