When working on your product descriptions it’s important to use all of the words customers use.
I was searching our hardware store’s website for a crowbar but their search turned up nothing. Even with different spelling combinations.
I did a more general search to see if there was an alternative name for them, Wikipedia’s preview told me pry bar and wrecking bar.
Trying those in the hardware store I found 60 different products.
Well okay, I guess the crow’s lobbying group must have pushed for a rename.
Similar story with their Google results: only 4 for crowbar, 5 for crow bar, and 136 for pry bar.
Adding this alternative name would be a simple and easy boost to their SEO and vastly improve product search.
