Content marketing is a huge topic with books and books about it (some good).

Sam Greenspan adapts some of that generic advice and writes about how content marketing can work for ecommerce using examples from several well-known brands.

Every Shopify store of any size could take one or two of these examples and start building a content marketing machine.

Braveen Kumar from Shopify writes about how to use a coming soon page to start attracting interest (and emails) before you launch your store. Shopify comes with basic versions of these pages and they are useful while you're working on your store.

One caveat: these pages change how Google reads the pages so if you enable these pages, you'll start to lose all of your SEO results and rankings over-time.
